Gab is an alternative social networking service to Twitter created by Andrew Torba that emerged due to anti-free speech policies by popular social media platforms. It is based in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Unlike Parler, Gab owns its own servers, hence Big Tech cannot pull the plug on its operations. The site is populated with a majority of politically right-leaning users, although all speech protected under the first amendment is welcome. Gab’s motto is “Speak Freely” and their mascot (pictured) is “Gabby” the frog.
